A day Old Child dumped inside a pit latrine but rescued miraculously!

On August 24th, 2014 a day old child was found dumped inside a pit latrine of a primary School at Nyanmureza commune of Ngozi province of Burundi. The counselor of the area alongside other villagers rescued the child and the child was handed over to a nursing mother for immediate care.

We were intimated with the case and we made a visit to the commune. We discovered that the toilet was actually demolished to bring the child out. Nobody knows the mother of the child and every effort that was made to trap the mother was abortive.

The child’s back was burnt due to the heat of the latrine and had to be admitted in the hospital for some weeks. He also developed a strange growth on the upper part of his back after some days of being rescued from the toilet. The growth had to be operated. Thank God the child was delivered from death and the operation was successful.

It was apparent the child was not having adequate care in the village so we decided to receive the child and care for him in our orphanage. He was brought to our orphanage on November 6th, 2014 at about 10.45am. He was given Kirundi names when he was picked up from the latrine but we also named him FAVOUR.
Favour is just 3 months and 6 days old. He has experienced what many old people will never pray to see in life. He is still receiving treatment in the hospital. We desire that you put favour in your prayers as we believe God for perfect healing for him. Pray also that this Child will fulfill God’s divine purpose and that absolutely nothing will limit him in life.

If God is touching your heart to sow towards favour’s upbringing in our Orphanage we will be grateful to hear from you. I felt like sharing this story with you today to appreciate God for his goodness to this child and also to ask you to intercede for favour. Below are some of his pictures. Remain blessed.

TESTIMONIES FROM GRACE AND GLORY HOME

¥God is doing wonders among us. We are experiencing his wonders in the changes that are taking place in the lives of the Children spiritually, physically, academically & socially
¥We also thank God for supernatural provisions for running the orphanage till this moment. It has been God.

¥I will use the story of Kalfano to testify to God’s goodness among us.
               STORY OF KALFANO NIZEYIMANA
Kalfano was born 7 years ago. He is among the first set of Children we are caring for in the Grace and Glory Home. His father sold the family properties, left the family and has been a vagabond for the past four years. Kalfano has been living with his grandmother who has been straining herself to care for six children, though a subsistence farmer. They eat mostly once and sometimes twice a day.
KALFANO WHEN WE VISITED THE FAMILY
Though Seven years, he has not started School when we took him into the Grace and Glory Home. He was not saved. He had low self-esteem, Poorly fed, always isolating himself, his hands, legs and bodies were full of sores, skin diseases when we brought him to the orphanage. It was by faith that we accepted him into the orphanage.

KALFANO'S SOLE WHEN HE CAME TO THE ORPHANAGE

GREAT TRANSFORMATION
Now, Kalfano is saved. All the Children in the Grace & Glory Home are saved. He has since started School on September 15, 2014 . He has good self-esteem. He relates well with people. The sores on his skin due to neglect and lack of care has been healed. He has boldness to talk and ask questions in the Bible Club unlike before. He is full of joy.
This is typical of all the Children in the Grace & Glory Home.
Lives are being changed.Together, we can do more.

PROGRESS REPORT ON FMI BURUNDI GRACE AND GLORY HOME

Grace and Glory Home is a long-term project to we embarked upon in Burundi. The home is a habitation of peace for orphans, displaced and vulnerable children. About half of the entire population of Burundi is Children under 15 years of age.
Many of them are orphans and about 560,000 Children have lost one parent. We seek to bring relief to children and teenagers in this category. Children in the Grace and Glory Home are being nurtured holistically until they are equipped to be relevant to the nation and God’s kingdom.

Through our outreach programmes and Children Bible Clubs, we integrate children and youths into the GRACE AND GLORY HOME, give them enlightenment on what it means to live life to the full, empower them with the gospel, making them to discover their personal identity in the light of the Scripture, then we mentor them until they become relevant anywhere they find themselves and especially to God’s kingdom.

On June 01, 2014, we started the orphanage with 7 Children and 4 staff (Myself & my wife inclusive). We are still seeking sponsorship for these Children and support from partners to take care of these vulnerable children and many others that are eagerly waiting for our help

GRACE AND GLORY NEWS
                (012014)

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory:
no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly”
Psalm 84:11.

Missions Report of Fullstature Missions International, Burundi Field.

CHILDREN MINISTRY
One day after a prayer meeting, D.L Moody told his wife that there were two and half converts. His wife asked him what he meant and he explained to her that 2 Children and 1 adult were saved. That makes it two and half because the adult’s life was half over but the two children had their whole lives ahead of them.

Our Children Ministry continues to grow strong. In the last three months Children have been learning  how to live in God’s kingdom as the salt of the earth and the light of this world. They’ve been taught to live for God, love fellow human beings and to do good works. We’ve also taken time to teach them how to pray. The ability to read the Bible is still being tested and not less than 20  New Testament Bibles ( Courtesy of Gideons International) have been given out to Children. Children are being saved and discipled. Our interpreter started a Bible Club some weeks back in another part of the town and we trust God to raise more people to reach more children in the nation.

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING
Young people are being taught the word of God that will set them on fire for God and also equip them to grow to maturity in Christ. The discipleship training for youths started in a Secondary School on January 28. 18 students were in attendance on the first day. We plan to spend 3 months in a school after which we will move to another school for another 3 months and so on. We believe that God will touch the heart of these young people to reach out to Children and be practically involved in missions as they learn to make God the priority in their lives.

MINISTRY TO THE BODY OF CHRIST
November 2nd 2013, we were with the Christian Student Fellowship of the University of Ngozi where I taught for about 2 hours on “Abiding in Christ”. The presence of God was visibly present as the students opened their hearts to receive the word and cried unto God for grace to abide in Him.
December 24th 2013 was an all night meeting with the youths of Maranatha Church in Ngozi. It was a night of forceful advancement as I preached on “Advancing forcefully in Life”. One person gave her life to Christ. Curses were broken, yokes destroyed and witchcraft manipulations nullified in the lives of the participants. All glory be unto God.
In January 2014, I ministered on “Saved to Serve” at Burundi Assemblies of God, Ngozi. A young man gave his life to Christ and the Church was encouraged to be committed in sacrificial service to God.
February 9th, 2014 was an exciting day at Pentecost Holiness Church at Gasaka, Makamba Province of Burundi. The Church is over 90% Children in fact the Pastor and his wife are the adults in the Church. I taught on “The blessings of Obedience”. Some of the Children gave their lives to Jesus and all of them were blessed by the laying on of hands.

Ministering at the University of Ngozi.

Children welcomed the missionary in Gasaka Village, Makamba Province, they receieved the gospel with a heart of humility, they were led to Christ and they were there to say thank you to the missionary while departing from the village.

OUTREACHES
We had Spirit and Life Conference for youths at Mabanda town of Makamba Province from February 6th -8th. Youths came from six Churches to learn how to live a victorious Christian life.  Noayirereye king Canesius gave thanks to God for the messages taught because they are new things that have helped him. Nshimirimana Diane Danella said she will always desire and obey God’s word because of the consequences of disobedience. She also saw the hand of God on her academics during the course of the conference. Five people gave their lives to Christ and a few others rededicated their lives to God.

Participants at the Spirit and Life Conference in Mabanda town of Makamba Province.

The Conference which held at a town which is about 6 hours from our base made it possible for me to meet with three of our radio listeners in that region face to face. Two of them attended the programme and the third person trekked for two hours to meet me in the Church where I preached on Sunday for Counseling and Prayers.

The Pastor wearing white shirt is one of our radio programme listener and Maurius in red t-shirt trekked for two hours to meet with the presenter of his choice radio programme. We fellowshipped and prayed together.

MEETING MENTAL & PHSICAL NEEDS OF CHILDREN
With the support of our partners we are able to provide books and writing material for Children. We are also able to give slippers and clothes to some children from time to time as the lord provides. Help us to do more.

OTHER TESTIMONIES
God has been so good to our family and the ministry. We continually enjoy his love, mercy, favour, protection, presence and provision. God’s grace and mercy continue to abound. We have joy and peace. Give thanks.

The 7 year old son of my interpreter was sick that he was only being fed with fluid and couldn’t do anything on his own. I visited him in the hospital, he was prayed for, God healed him and he was discharged two days after.
