Missions Report of Fullstature Missions International, Burundi Field.

FURLOUGH IN NIGERIA
We are grateful to God for making it possible for us to be in Nigeria for a time of both rest and mobilization from April 1st 2015to June 14th 2015. We got back to Burundi on June 15th 2015 and God has been faithful in every situation.
While in Nigeria we had opportunity to minister in a Christian fellowship and in two churches where we shared testimonies of what the lord is doing in Burundi. We were at Evangelical Students Union, O.A.U, All Souls Chapel O.A.U as well as the headquarter church of Fullstature Missions International. We thank God for the supportive role of these ministries, the individual commitments made, finances donated to support our ministry and most importantly the prayer that is ongoing.  It was fulfilling meeting family members and brethren in the Christian faith after two and a half years of serving God in Burundi. We are grateful to all for love, encouragement and donations. We also thank God for keeping the ministry work going on when we were away.

RAISING DISCIPLES AMONG CHILDREN

We are grateful to God for keeping the Children Ministry when we were away. Some fell a way not seeing us for over two months but a number of the children remained committed. God rewarded them beautifully. The Children work has been a focal point of our present work in Burundi. Unchurched children and other children are being taught the word of God. They are taught to fall in love with God and develop intimacy with God. On two occasions we made devotional materials in Kirundi Language available to them courtesy of wonderzone publications. The first Saturday of every month is the special time for fasting and prayers. Prayers are said for the nation, for sinners, for their family members and for their future. It is always the time to break family curses and covenants that can hinder the greatness of the children.

INTERCESSION FOR BURUNDI
We returned to Burundi  when the political situation was tense and many have fled the country. However, we kept meeting the children every Saturday and the children continue to call upon God for peace, unity and stability. The prayer and teaching of the word took away fear from the heart of many of the children. They were excited to see answers to their prayer when all the election was concluded and there was no war in the nation. We continue to give thanks to God for the nation.

HELL WENT LOOSE BECAUSE OF EVANGELISM
I had announced to the children that there will be evangelism on July 25th and that it will be done on a monthly basis henceforth. A lot of prayers was said in preparation for the evangelism but the devil had his plan to hinder the whole process however his plan was thwarted. My wife was taking her bath on the morning of July 25th when she suddenly lost control and fell. As she recounts the story she said God intervened by making her to fall on angels hand who put her down calmly on the bathroom floor. The fall could have been devastating but God took perfect control.
By the time we got to the ministry centre, the children were already soaking up in prayers. I led them to pray additional warfare prayers and we gave thanks to God. I was about to distribute tracts to them when suddenly Nora Nagatore a consistent and committed child began to feel dizzy and was about to fall. She could no longer stand on her own whereas nothing happened to her before leaving the house. One of the children grabbed her to keep her from falling. We prayed for her and later worshipped the living God. About 10 minutes after, she regained her strength and was able to stand and walk.

When asked whether she would go home to rest or join the team for evangelism, she insisted that shewould go with us. She indeed went out with us, gave out tracts to sinners and stood through out the time I ministered at the market centre. God gave us victory and destroyed the devil’s plan to cause distraction and hinder the evangelism.

Nora Nagatore’s strength and life was restored, children are excited to go out to share the word of God.

EVANGELISM AT A MARKET SQUARE

On Saturday July 25th 2015 the children in the Bible club were excited to go out for evangelism. We had spent a good time in praying just before setting out. Many of them had the experience for the first time. They were rejoicing giving out Kirundi gospel tracts to those who were passing by and people who were buying and selling. After the children distributed the tracts and spoke to some people I presented the gospel openly in the market square and many people gave their lives to Jesus. Heaven rejoiced and we all rejoiced.

ORPHANAGE REPORT
The Grace and Glory home orphanage is progressing. Children are being nurtured physically and spiritually. The orphanage was 1 year on June 1, 2015. God provided every need to cater for the children, workers and the facilities because of his faithfulness, answers to daily prayers and committed partners who continue to allow God to use them for his glory.
Kalfano and Patrick who started grade one last year September did well and are promoted to grade two. All the other children are promoted as well.

Favour Moses Iriho whom we recieved when he was two and a half month old is now almost 1 year old. The Doctor had told us that because the operation that was done on his back due to the burnt he suffered from the pit latrine was not done well that the possibility to crawl, stand or walk is very slim but we thank God that today Favour is sitting on his own, he is crawling, standing and already making attempt to walk. We rejoice in God for this testimony. We are grateful to the anonymous partner who has been sending specific support for the up keep of favour.

Favour Moses Iriho will clock 1 year Old on August 24th

During our holiday in Nigeria, a family also showed interest in sponsoring a child and they have sent funds for 6 months for the child before we left Nigeria. We are grateful to them. There are still five other children without sponsors. Children are resuming back to School on September 7th. Still pray for miraculous provision to settle all necessary bills.

We had a meeting with the representative of the Ministry of Solidarity in our province on Monday July 27 where we spoke about our work, settling of orphanage children in families, as well as national and International adoption processes among other things.

A NEW CHILD IN THE ORPHANAGE
During our visit to the centre for the development of families and community (Ministry of Solidarity), the representative told us about a case of a newly born child whose mother died on the day of delivery. According to him they have approached some orphanages but none showed interest in accepting the child.

We decided to visit the village on August 5th 2015 to verify and ascertain the situation. The baby was in a very pathetic state. We  decided to take the baby trusting God that he will raise help for him the way he did for Favour. We know that the faithful God will not allow the child to die and that he will arise in his mercy. Here is the child’s story.

Innocent IRISHURA (Irishura means God answers prayers) was born on July 21, 2015 and lost his mother four hours after he was born. He was born in a village called myando in Tangara commune of Ngozi province. His father is a peasant father in the village struggling to care for other children. For about 3 weeks now he was feeding only on the breast of the family's relative whose last baby is already 2 years old. That was the only available option in the village according to them. Apparently the child will not be able to get something so beneficial from the breast of the poor woman. Innocent is currently sick and needs urgent care and baby formula. Baby formula will cost us N5, 325 ($25) per week. (2 tin cans of baby formula on weekly basis at 17,900 Burundian Franc each). As he grows he will eat more than that in a week. He is about 3 weeks old now and it is our desire to put him on baby formula for six months.”

We traveled for hours to and fro on motor cycle to verify Innocent’s case. We had opportunity to witness for Christ openly at a village market when one of our motor cycles developed fault and was being fixed.

INNOCENT’S ARRIVAL TO THE ORPHANAGE

On August 11th 2015, relatives of Innocent Irishura, the Councillor of Tangara commune and a representative of the Ministry of Solidarity brought the baby to the orphanage.

BURUNDI SITUATION
We thank God for the prayers of the saints for Burundi. We thank the prophetic prayer team that came to Burundi in January 2015 just for the purpose of interceding for the nation. God has indeed been good and faithful.
There has been political unrest since the president decided to contest for the third term of another five years. The election has been concluded and he has been declared the winner despite the oppositions stand on the re-election bid. There is high level of tension and anxiety among nationals due to the ongoing violence. Quite a number of people reported to be well over 150,000 have fled the country and tens of people have died as well. Burundi still needs intercession more than ever before.

There is also a need to pray against natural disaster. We experienced a violent earth tremor early hours of August 7, 2015. It went across the nation and also got to neighbouring countries like Rwanda, Tanzania and DR Congo. It was reported as a 5.6 quake in DR Congo and 4.8 quake in Northern Tanzania.
